Jan Kelpe's brother-in-law, Bill Newton, died this morning of a heart attack, brought on as a complication of his bout with cancer. Please pray for Jan's sister, Ellen, and her family as well as Jan. Give family members safe travel to Kansas for the funeral, and give them comfort in one another's presence.

Thank you so much for your prayers for Kathy. After a difficult day with the Haitian authorities Kathy has made it back home to our country. She saw a lot of things that were difficult to face in that very poor country and, while she is glad she made the trip to help, she is very glad to be back in the USA.

I would like prayers for my brother-in-law, Bill Newton, who has cancer and the doctors can't find the source of it or a treatment for it. Bill is so sick that he won't let my sister out of his sight. She has been staying with him 24/7 for months now. So, please pray for my sister, Ellen, who isn't well herself. prayers of healing and peace and the doctors. Thank you for your prayers........Jan.

April Clark submitted the following prayer request:

Our friend Terri Penke is going into UNMC next Wed the 19th for a stem cell transplant. The hope is that is will arrest the cancer in her body. Please pray that the transplant takes, and that the 6 weeks she must remain in the hospital go quickly for her. Her positive attitude is a joy to behold. Pray that she keeps it

Joann and Milt Fricke asked for prayers for their friend, Dorothy Lastovica. She and her husband Frank were members of St. Paul's many years ago and now belong to St. Lukes UNC. Dorothy is having severe health problems, and may be facing surgery to remove a kidney because of cancer. She will be consulting with the Dr this next week, and Joane is asking us all to pray for her family, her doctors and her health care personel.

Please pray for Tom and Annette Oloff, who have both lost their jobs.

Please pray for Betty Bonge whose daughter, Debbie Daly, has passed away.

Please pray for Kathy as she makes an unexpected trip to Haiti. She will be going as part of the Hands and Feet Project to help out with hurricaine damage on the island. Please pray for safe travel and that they can make a positive impact on the lives of people there.
