All of you have been so kind in expressing your concern about my health and my job so I wanted to give you an update.

My boss was let go and I was asked to take the position. My boss was working 70-80 hrs a week and I've never seen anyone in that position working less than 60 hrs. so I was very anxious about it wondering what would happen if I refused the position. I told the head of our dept that I didn't want to work 60 hrs a week but would do whatever I could to help with the transition. She was very understanding of my position and in fact respected my candor. As we all know, titles and money won't bring us happiness and I would have been very unhappy. One hurdle crossed - Amen.

As for my health, I had the tests done Friday and will get the results back Wednesday so I'll be sure to update everyone. My GYN was optimistic that she was pretty certain it was not cancer. So from there, it can only be positive.

I have to have what is supposed to be minor sugery Tuesday at 3pm at Methodist. I'd like prayers that it remain "minor" and nothing further be discovered to make it a bigger issue.

I'd also like prayers for healing, as they've told me it can take 1-4 weeks, and I finally found the job I want (thanks to God!, and all of you for your prayers) and I'm due to start next Monday, the 7th.

Robert Burke, their neighbor, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Please pray for wisdom for his doctors and for peace for Robert in dealing with this situation.

Sherry's dad, Fred Thode, is undergoing test for his heart. Pray for good results that find a problem if one exists, giving his doctors the opportunity to deal with the situation.

Please pray for our young friends Steve and Nicole Winton of Omaha. Their five week old baby, McKenna Rose died of spinal meningitis this week. Her funeral is Friday, June 27.

Olivia Paulhamus wrote the following request:

"My grandfather, Walter E. Gray, passed away a month ago in the beginning of May. May he rest in peace."

Please pray for Olivia and her family on the loss of their loved one.

April Clark sent the following request:

Mary Fulton, a co-worker, has asked for prayers for the boyfriend of her daughter. Brian Windhorst has contracted a lung infection that has progressed in a very short time to shutting down organs. He is 30 and
they are asking for prayers that the Doctors can find the cause and a treatment before it becomes terminal. She has left to be with her daughter during this terrible time.

Debie Harrison wrote the following prayer request:
I'm having an ultrasound and biopsy Friday afternoon to check for endometriosis. I would like prayers for the tests to uncover what's causing the pain in my abdominal area and that God might provide healing for me without invasive surgery.
